Search

If we were playing a word association game and I said "search", I would be willing to bet that more people than not would respond with a word or words related to finding information on the internet.  I'm also pretty sure that if the word association game took place forty years ago, the "answers" would have been very different.

However, I would like to focus on a different aspect of "searching".  With all that is going on in our world right now, I would like us to think about how we may be searching for answers to the question WHY.

Why are we seeing thousands of people suffering and dying

Why have our daily routines changed

Why have so many people questioned science

Why have so many people ignored lessons learned in the past

Why have some been blinded to the fact that their unsafe actions may indeed have dire consequences

I don't have any easy answers to most of those questions, and I'm not sure that there are indeed easy answers.  The answers are complex because of all the animals on the earth, humans are the most complex.

History is filled with examples of human failures, but there are also many other examples of human triumphs over what seemed like unsurmountable odds.  I do believe that if we examine those triumphs, we can find that our loving God had a part in leading the seekers to the answer.

I ask you all for your continued prayers for all of our fellow humans who are the seekers searching for answers to the questions related to how best to end the spread of this deadly virus.
